Sculpture "Kazakh metal"
Sculpture "Kazakh metal"
Metallurgy, as an integral part of human history, has existed for a long time. Humanity first began using metal during the Bronze Age, and the territory of modern Kazakhstan is no exception. Numerous archaeological discoveries from the Bronze and Early Metal Ages have been found on Kazakh soil.
The profession of a metallurgist is truly unique. A metallurgist is someone who extracts and melts metal—it is almost like magic. It is not without reason that blacksmiths have always been among the most respected members of society. Even today, metallurgists are exceptional people, as modern production sites cannot function without their work.
The sculptural composition "Kazakh Metal" portrays a founder-metallurgist holding a ladle. The figure of the founder, standing firmly with his feet apart, is fixed onto a natural stone base. The steadiness of his posture and the firmness of his hands holding the ladle with molten metal all speak to the determination of the metallurgist to cast beautiful metal—like a fine, magical flower that grants wishes.
